Manager of International Business – Southern Europe
AE Ventures is seeking a motivated, high-energy business development professional with Southern European market experience and language skills to join our growing team. Ideal candidate will have strong sales, communications, project and business management skills and be able to work effectively with team members heading e-media and event production and international sales. Proficiency in oral and written communications in Italian, French and Spanish is a must. This position reports directly to the President of AE Ventures with a great deal of coordination with the VP of Operations, VP of Business Development and Director of Digital & Editorial Resources.
Responsibilities:
- Refine and manage e-media and event products
- Work with advisors and business allies in Southern Europe and conduct market research to ensure products are appropriately tuned to the market and positioned for success
- Take charge of sales to European based companies with a specific focus on target market countries including France, Italy and Spain
- Work with VP of Biz Dev. on sales to domestic companies, facilitating communications with their European reps and distributors to develop effective participation plans
- Drive directory listing recruitment efforts including direct marketing and personalized telesales and correspondence
- Drive THM 100 entry recruitment efforts including direct marketing and personalized telesales and correspondence
- Work with Director of Digital and Editorial Services to develop compelling editorial content and e-promotions for e-media products
- Work with VP of Operations to develop compelling programming for events
- Work with President, VPs and Directors to continuously fine tune operating plans, comply with budget and meet financial goals
- Build relationships with association and media partners
- Build relationships with supplier and integrator players in markets served
- Work with VP of Operations on event plan and management of on-site event logistics
- Provide onsite customer service in European event venues
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Italian, French and Spanish
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with strong customer satisfaction focus
- Ability to complete high quality, accurate work within imposed time frame
- Detail oriented and well organized, neat in performance of work
- Computer literate, experienced with CRM systems, word processing software and spreadsheets
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and results oriented environment is a must
- Requires a highly motivated individual with a positive, proactive approach when identifying problems and improving processes
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Assignments can change frequently based on customer requirements.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changes are also highly important
- Ability to travel 15-20%

Sales Manager
AE Ventures is seeking an outgoing, persuasive Sales Manager to join its growing business. Ideal candidate will enjoy managing accounts, meeting with clients and prospects in person and contacting customers via telephone. This position requires someone possessing strong sales abilities. The focus of the job is making connections with people. Poise and an engaging, empathetic communication style based on natural warmth and enthusiasm is the key to achieving the goals of this position.
This dynamic role requires an inviting personality and the ability to develop a rapport with clients via phone as well as in person at industry events. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development.
Responsibilities include:
- Selling exhibit space, sponsorships and e-media products for the various events AE Ventures manages and produces
- Reaching pre-set sales goals
- Prospecting for potential customers and qualifying leads
- Assist with administrative projects including mass mailings, database maintenance, etc.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven inside sales experience
- Previous media product and/or trade show sales are preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with strong customer satisfaction focus
- Ability to complete high quality, accurate work within imposed time frame
- Detail oriented and well organized, neat in performance of work
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products, experience with salesforce.com is a plus
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and results oriented environment is a must
- Requires a highly motivated individual with a positive, proactive approach when identifying problems and improving processes
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
